What do you think about extending the “Recent Posts” in the right hand column and getting rid of the “Newly Uploaded Images”?
Unless you are on the Pond Boss Forum full time, the “Recent Posts” disappear before a forum member has a chance to see them.
I would like to see the “Recent Posts” run the full length of the right column with all the forums expanded.

Dwight,
I think it's a good idea.
BTW what kind of highs and lows for the day are you getting up there?
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

I tend to agree or at least make the "Recent Posts" column larger.

Yes that is a great idea. The pics are ok but I can always go to that section to see what's going on. I would rather see more recent posts myself. Great idea Dwight! What I have seen is some peoples post don't get very many responeses because they end up 5 or 6 posts down the list before you know it and they end up getting lost pretty quick. A new member could take it wrong when there post doesn't get but one response and it was only because it slipped through the cracks not because we didn't want to respond it was just by accident that we missed it.

All;
Couple points:
1. Not sure we can change the length of the "recent posts" or "newly uploaded images". It's the most current version of the UBB software and we have limited ability to alter that - if at all. I'll look into it, though.
2. I prefer to use "Active Topics" - there one can see an entire page of topics, posts or unanswered posts. In fact I try to check that at least once a day to make sure someone hasn't fallen through the cracks. Check it out - has everything you're requesting.

Unless you are on the Pond Boss Forum full time, the “Recent Posts” disappear before a forum member has a chance to see them. My bookmark for the forum takes me to "Active Topics." It lets me see the topics in time-date order of posting. PB Forum Active Topics It is especially useful on my telephone, where all the frames are shown in vertical order, rather than the way it shows on a regular full size screen.

My favorite method of keeping track of new musings has been on another board of Antique Caterpillar Machinery Enthusiasts (ACME), they give you a "new posts" search option that lists every post that has been added to since your last visit, somehow they have a time/date stamp associated with your registered user name and can list all new posts and added to posts based on that. I don't know if that is possible here or not Teej but it is food for thought, and allows a user to rarely or never miss new input from others.
Just my $0.02 worth.

Rex,
Good to see you back here.
I was referring to spot that listed all the members online, similar to the area where it lists new members and most posts. That way you don't have to search by name to to see who is online.
There is no right or wrong way, but the key is to get the best user experience from the forums. Least that is my opinion.
In my case it just learning a new system and I will say it has some neat features I'm not used too.

Dwight,
I think it's a good idea.
BTW what kind of highs and lows for the day are you getting up there? We have had highs in the 90s and lows in the 70s the last couple weeks. Now we are in a period of 80s for highs and 60s for lows.
