In 2008 a tornado churned up water and depleted oxygen. All CC died.Pic of some
I pumped out the pond and removed all fish. While it was empty I widened the East side, now its 1/8th acre.

At the North end it is the deepest, about 9' where the latter crosses

The rest of the pond is now 4' to 6' deep. Now, July 2010 I want to restock but Mother Nature has already provided me with GSF ranging in size from 3/4" to 3" I have caught in trap but have seen at edges some 5" to 6".

It was suggest that a aerated before stocking with CC and BSF. I have read a few posts that people have used small pumps and soaker hose. Will this work in my 1/8 ac pond?

I use my well to add water during dry spells and just to enjoy sitting at the pond relaxing

What pump should I use, PSI and how often should I run it?

So how did the GSF get in the pond?

Was it from another water source close by?

I am just wondering if anything else is in there like BH?

Thanks

As for as I know the pond was stocked by birds that landed in another water source, came in contact with eggs and transported to my pond. Basic science, just as with bees. I haven't seen any other type of fish other than minnows, there is no other water source feeding my pond.
