I was just reading an on-line review of a product that I was interested in; a chest of drawers that requires "some assembly". The review begins:
This product literally made me pull my hair out.
OK, I don't know about the rest of ya's, but I'm at that point in life where head hair volume is notably diminishing. I have issues with understanding how assembling a chest of drawers might possibly provoke one to actually pull on their hair, let alone do it hard enough to detach it from the scalp. This just comes off to me as totally anti-productive.

I personally think hair is pretty well over rated. grin

Dang Mark! Gotta love Fairfax County and the fact that so many people are against deer hunting there! Maybe that's why we've had 3 or 4 people die in deer car collisions and several hundred injured over the last few years! Glad to hear you are OK. I have never seen a deer go through the windshield of a vehicle that rides as high as yours. Usually they are low sitting cars... WOW!

Mark! I'm so glad you're OK. That would have literally scared me to death. Which would have been really bad.

...and let me get this straight...

The deer was driving...and you were thrown out of the vehicle through the windshield?

I'm cracking up reading some of these. I have had a lot of ribbing over this. I was driving in the left hand lane of a 3 lane urban road when i see this deer come running into the traffic. It dodged the first 2 cars but it tried to jump my Avalanche and hit the hood with it's feet and exploded through the windshield in a mass of hair, glass and blood. It was still alive and it's rear end was in the passenger seat and it's head was lodged between the steering wheel and dashboard.

I got the truck pulled over and after a few minutes checking myself I lifted the deer's head off the steering column and into my lap and got it into park. The deer was basically in it's final death throes now.

A couple guys pulled over to see if I was OK and I asked them if I was? I couldn't tell. I was covered in glass and hair though.

When the police got there I told the cop I was an avid deer hunter and maybe this was a sign from God that I should leave them alone. He quipped, " I think it's a sign you should more of them". Now that I'm calmed down i think I will take his advice. Lucky to be here I can tell you that!

Wow, Mark, what a blessing that you were uninjured! That is incredible that it happened and that you weren't hurt at all, let alone killed. Just amazing.

I worked with a guy once who was traveling on the interstate in his company car and hit a buck. It slid up the hood and its head whipped around the driver's side of the car and its antlers smashed through the driver's side door window and just missed him.

The cop is right - we need to kill more of them! Just not that way!

I' cracking up reading these replies. I have been getting all kinds of wiity and sarcastic remarks. Here's the story.

I had just gone through the car wash and was in the left hand lane of a 3 lane road in an urban area. I see this deer come running from my right in pretty heavy traffic at 10:30 am. The deer dodges the first 2 cars and is headed right at me now. I'm going 50 mph or so and the deer tries to jump my Avalanche. It hits the hood and explodes through the windshield with glass, hair and blood flying all over.

The deer's head is lodged between the steering wheel and dashboard and it is still kicking. I manage to pull over off the road and get the truck stopped. I had to lift the deer's head off the wheel to get it into park and get out. It was almost lifeless by then. I guess I sat there for a while in shock.

Two guys stop and I ask them if I look OK because I knew I had to be cut and hurt. They said I looked fine just covered in hair and glass. All I got was bruised and a head and neck ache that lasted a couple days. I even played golf that afternoon.

Anyway, when the police first got there I was stammering that I am a huge deer hunter and maybe this was a sign from God that I should leave them alone. The cop said " I think it's a sign you should kill more". All in all I am one lucky dude
