I noticed today after the rain we got and the pond water was dirty, that when I fed just catfish came. I am assuming that BG are site feeders?
In Dog Beers, I've had one.

Yes but the BG can feed in turbid water just not nearly as good as CC.

My pond is always muddy and the BG feed OK. I think it's because they feed at the same time everyday and get used to that.
It's true hard work never killed anybody, but I figure, why take the chance?
