i built this pond about 7 years ago. the owner had just bought this 10 acres and was wanting to get rid of all the surface rocks. there were thousands of them some the size of a pickup hood. so we moved them to the back half of the dam before construction. then we built the pond putting the rocks in the backslope and covering them with a couple feet of dirt.the pond is 3+ acres and 14 ft deep except for a spot about 100 x 100 that we hauled 600 dumptruck loads of shale out of after we built the pond. that hole is about 25' deep. now we are building the owner a house pad overlooking the pond. i thought it was a neat looking place. i give him this website he wants to know how to get rid of them cat tails you see around the pond so he will be posting soon
Wow, awesome site and beautiful looking water! Thanks for sharing this - tell him to hop on board we're looking forward to helping with some cattail advice!
