hey
i fish about a 3 acre pond and it has many small fish in it....probably around 8"-12" each...all of the fish look healthy though...and there are many more bigger fish in this pond also....but i average 20-30 bass each time i go fishing here with the majority being these small ones....so i was wondering if i should start to take some fish out? and if so how many? the lake is really really old but there was a fish kill several years ago that killed most of the fish...but there are lots of fish now....keep realeasing the smaller ones or should i keep them?
thanx

Keep them. You will be doing the rest of the pond a huge favor.

based on limited knowledge of pond, keep the smaller ones, how many? About 60-100. If it gets difficult to catch them you are getting clsoe. Not over night but the remaining bass shodl fatten/grow.
