Does anyone have pictures of their pump setup? What types of enclosures are used? Working on setting up a system and thought it would be interesting to see how other guys put their systems together.

I would give you a photo of ours but that is cheating. I too would like to see some home made set ups.

I grabbed one of those plastic dog houses from TSC and threw the compressor in that.

This is an example of a piston pump system I did not long ago. A carbon vane compressor is more commonly used but in either case you can see somewhat of a set up.

When you say dog houses, do you mean the crate? TPLM.....that is quite the setup. How big of a pond is that for? Cary....I have been to your site. Your enclosures are very nice.

That set up is for a 4 surface acre lake. The key is that it is for a deep lake greater then 30 feet deep in some places.

Mike: It's the plastic "house" that has an opening on one end and the dogs would sleep in it. It's about 18" wide, 24" high and 24" deep (or so).

More than likely our prolific spanner left a message. That renewed the thread.

Mike, I am also working on a system for my pond. I plan on getting parts from Sue Cruz. Her stuff gets very good recs from everyone. I plan on placing my system in our barn and pumping the air our to the pond as I do not have electricity out at the pond and pvc pipe is way cheeper than copper!. I am in east Texas and my pond, when full, should be about 11 acres and have a max depth around 30 feet. If you would like to collaborate, let me know. I am a planner first. I know the parts I want to use and where I plan on putting them out in the pond. After I get started, I will post some pics.

I bought a system from Ted Lea at cleanponds.com. Very nice system !! I need to add some more hose before summer to get better coverage but for the winter it will work.
