Is that cute tackle box hers or yours?

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Hers, but she lets me borrow it from time-to-time... ;\)

21 inch smallmouth bass caught on a number 3 gold mepps with brown hair last week. One of the biggest smallies I have ever caught.

Nice fish!

I will definitely be remembering that day for a long time. The hybrid is the 3rd pic down. Looks a little more bluegill in that pic doesn't he?

I got home a little after 4:30am and woke up a little before noon. Drove home with the stereo blaring and windows rolled down. grin

I finally got up at 8 and after cleaning up (and slowly waking up) I actually got on the road @ 9:45. The first 3 hours were tough, even after a couple hours of sleep! The late night the night before didn't help much either. wink

Glad that you made it home safely.

With hands the size of mine, there is no hiding them regardless of how big the fish is.
Everyone always asks me why my nostrils are so big, and I just lift up my hands and show them the size of my fingers........

Sometimes, when you can't get to your pond as much as you'd like, it's good to have friends go to your pond.

Here is PB Member wivell's comments about Sunday, May 9, 2010, at my pond:

"Sunil,

We managed to cull some bullheads yesterday.
I think the boys counted them - 32 or thereabouts.
Braden caught 2 stripers. One was about 21 inches with huge girth -
probably 15" girth.
Austin caught the Channel Cat - nearly 20 inches.
He has a broken wrist at the moment and decided he didn't want catfish
slime on his cast, hence my mugshot with the channel cat.

It was cold - 43 degrees. Had a small fire going in the "truck rim"
fire pit to keep the boys warm.
The pond was as full as I have ever seen it, water a bit cloudy.
No bass biting at all.
Caught about 10 perch and lots of bluegill as well. Some of the blue
gill appeared to have a bit of pumpkinseed in them.

Scott"

Nice fish Sunil. What is your culling policy (with the fish not the visitors)?

Right now, it's "All Bullheads must die." I don't see that ever changing.

Soon to follow will be a "Remove any LMB below 14 inches."
