Found this on one of Ewest's many valuable links he offers us and thought I would post this part just so new guys to testing pond water like myself could have this as a basis to go by. I know sometimes its hard to read everything and I found this and thought it might help someone else as well.


Ideally, an aquaculture pond
should have a pH between 6.5 and
9 as well as moderate to high total
alkalinity (75 to 200, but not less
than 20 mg/L) and a calcium hardness
of 100 to 250 mg/L CaCO
