It's the end of ice as we know it and Bremer Pond feels fine. I took these photos last evening and by this morning the ice was gone. This is what ice looks like right before death.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

Nothing in the traps, and no takers on the pellets I threw out. The water is still pretty cold but I'm not optimistic. If the trout didn't make it I'm going to plan B, getting a small amount of tiger trout, some CC and Perch, then put a much larger pump below the dam near the stream so I can supply at least 10GPM thru the winter and maybe add some type of circulator like Dwight has. I guess CC & perch can take low oxygen and if the other improvements help maybe the trout will make it. I did manage to get a small brookie in the stream near one of my dams. Still planning on getting a larger tank this fall for the basement and put in a divider so I can have the large PS's and some of the tiger trout.
