Hi I'm Steve me and my dad in the next few months are going to drain are 1/4 acre pond it's rectangle shaped in a way/ I say, about deepest area gets maybe 12-13' feet deep. It was drained out by us about 7 years ago too. Our problems is it has a seepage we think maybe a tile or pipe seeping from the bank.wet (spot)(muskrat's) We have a spill away if need be used. We will likely need to re line it with clay, and are planning on some type aeration unit for it,for better circulation in the winter is main reason too, So anybody in Ohio recommended that can help with our problems, estimates and advice is very helpful too.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,

Hi. I am located in Marion, OH (about an hour North of Columbus) and they guy who constructed my pond might be willing to Travel - I have no idea? However, I will say that this person worked on a family farm learning excavating prior to starting his business and has been involved in nothing but excavating for 20 plus years (maybe longer). Our local soil and water along with conservation groups calls him first - yes, he is very detailed and meticulous, which I loved!

I'd say 99% of his work is farm ponds and field tile work for farmers. He left no stone unturned for my project and I could not be happier with the results. The other plus, I've known the family for years and they are totally honest folks.

Shoot me a PM and I can get you in touch.

Also - when I was talking with different folks back in the planning stages of mine, I came across a lot of "construction" companies who move dirt looking for ways to expand on cash flow and didn't do much pond work. There were a lot of these, and I would really caution you to check out existing pond work done before hiring someone, it will save you a lot of frustration in the long run.

Most pond owners I ran into had no problem talking about their project at all.

I subscribe!
