I have 4 Aqua Pros running well - one for 6 years now. No problems since the new timers. I don't run AM 600 through them though.

sorry but I gotta ask,
George had to adjust his spin plate to get the TH to throw am600, will that have to be done to all of them or just certain year models? I was going to put some in mine this year, just asking before I dump 50lbs of feed in there to find out I have a problem.

Also with Aqua pro throw it with or w/o adjustments?

sorry for hijack

I have AquaPro, and it worked fine up until the last few bags of food. It's bridging across the opening going to the spin plate. I think the hole in the bottom of the feeder is barely large enough for AM 600, and a slight variation in size (larger) causes it to bridge.

Hi george1, good hearing from you and I'm glad to hear that you consider our Texas Hunter (TH) feeder to be a "very good reliable feeder". I am though, disappointed that you were not satisfied with our customer service.

I remember that when you called to tell us that your TH feeder would not throw AM600 we discussed what might be the issue and I drove to our local hardware store and purchased an Allen wrench (to adjust the factory setting on the feed plate), which we overnighted to you along with a brand new battery...I also contacted our closest dealer (Todd Overton) who agreed to personally look into the issue on his next visit to your area...only to find out from you later that it was a clump of old feed that was stuck down in there from the previous season causing the problem...

And that's OK, it happens! We know the strings to the bags and all sorts of other stuff may get down inside a feeder. That's why we designed a quick-release panel on the side of our feeder with a ClearView funnel on our patented blower system so customers can troubleshoot any issues like this instantly, and correct the problem within minutes.

I think that anyone who has ever dealt with Texas Hunter would agree that we're real people who answer the phone and email with a focus on helping customers promptly with any orders, issues or questions about our products or general questions regarding the industries that we serve. If not, we want to know about it immediately. Give us a call at (800) 969-3337 anytime or visit us online at http://www.TexasHunter.com and put us to the test.

THP:

I own a couple AquaPro feeders and had the "opportunity" to work on a TH feeder last year that was completely submerged and sat for a couple of days with food in it after the water receeded. After a day of drying out the timer, and a new battery it worked just fine. When it comes time to buy another feeder (providing I don't need to feed AquaMax Largemouth pellets) it'll be a TH.

I just had my 4th TH feeder delivered. As far as responsive service goes, the feeder happened to come with a bad battery so I reached out to Greg Grimes (my dealer) on Sunday night via email. He emailed TH that night and copied me. Monday morning I had a UPS email notification that a 5 pound package had just shipped from TH. No questions asked and fast as can be. Very impressive.

Thanks for the great feedback and kind words to you all.

Just want to clarify that yes, our TH (Texas Hunter) feeders will throw fish pellets up to and including the AquaMax 600.

And we're glad to hear that when the time comes....you're making the switch esshup....we'll save one for you.

Thank you all for your business - we appreciate it. If you're still not a TH customer and in the market for a Fish Feeder...call us and ask for a Lake Management Professional near you (800) 969-3337.

THP:

Next month I'll be visiting my buddy that had the one feeder flooded. Is there anything that I should specifically look at? As far as I know it's still working fine. Everything was under water, timer, solar panel, etc. We swapped out the battery and dried it out for a few days after cleaning it out/hosing it out before it went back into service.
