Yes, wait for DIED's input. (If he doesn't post then consider emailing him, the guy is a fishing machine and knows the area).
So when are you going to Sacramento Rangersedge?

that depends ranger, when are you going to be here, what do you want to fish for, and would it be shore or boat fishing? send me a pm, maybe i can help some.
my knowledge of downtown area sac fishing is very limited, i fish mostly in the foothills here. couple tips off top of my head is check out the local web forums at imhooked or fishsniffer. another tip, maybe you can review on-line? is mike iaconelli's city limits tv show....he did one here in sacramento.

One of these days I'm going to get to take advantage of all that fine fishing. I'll be in Sacramento again this coming week, but unfortunately my schedule is too tight for any personal time. The impression I had that Californians were laid back sure has been severely shattered. These nutzos I now work for schedule us from 7:00 AM until 10:00 PM.
However, I keep thinking that DIED and I should go help Jeff out by getting all those darn GSF out of his pond.

ken, we'll hook up one of these days. w/ little to no traffic issues, i'm about 50-60 minutes from downtown. jhap's place is a bit farther, add a day to your schedule sometime or look for a open timeslot one afternoon say, you could be up here in no time, we could have some fun, and you could either get back that evening or spend the night here. stay in touch, lets try and plan it when jhap and jwhap are up too.

Absolutely!
Another guy from my office is going to be out there this week, but his schedule is not as crazy as mine. He is going to Squaw Valley on Thursday and Friday. I thought about heading up with him. I unfortunately have to be back here before Thursday evening.

JHAP and DIED were great. Just didn't wind up having time to go fishing.

Born and raised. Fished Sac river for over 45 years. Just a shadow of what it once was. Not even that. But a lot of great foothill lakes and ponds. There is some Striper fishing in the American. Used to be great American Shad fishing, but that also is pretty much a memory. Forget salmon. I have a couple thousand worth of gear that collects dust these days. We should have a mini conference.
