Got 3 plants I want to identify that I cant seem to find online. I know the F.A. I need the leafy one in the first pic and the broad 50 cent sized lily lookin one in the second(bottom middle) and the leafy one (left). Thanks for the help on ID and possible control methods.

The emergent plants kind of remind me of Ludwigia (water-primrose). To me, it looks like you have 2 varieties of them in your pond. Can't say for sure unless you know what their flowers look like (bright yellow).

If you wanna get rid of them, the lake mower company is down here in San Marcos, TX. Their machine can get those plants out.

I have all of those in my ponds. I forget what the skinny leafed one is. But that is almost never a problem. The other is almost for sure Creeping Primrose. It's just popping the surface now. The Lake Mower cuts that stuff like butter. But you better rake those cuttings ASAP.

Primrose has a reddish tinge to the leaves, its the easiest way to identify them.

The plant has 'rosette' clusters of leaves until it emerges, then it takes on a more spear-like structure.

Its probably all the same plant as the leaves can vary depending on the time of the season.

Glyphosate works if applied during the growing season but then you have dead, rotting plants in the water. Mechanical cutting, like the lake mower, works but you have to remove the cuttings (rake or seine). Grass carp won't eat it and there's no bugs that control it.
