Evidently I'm in the wrong line of work. For that price I'd swim around and stuff BG in a bass' mouth.

Think of how much the fish in your pond are worth. A good reason to take care of them.

WOW is right Natester. Jeez my pond's personal best LMB at 4.1 pounds would fetch $250-300. Dwight's Darlene if she ever reaches 10 pounds would sell for ten grand?

Jeez forget catch and release.

I'm thinking catch and ebay.

If they ship, I could have the Michigan State record 5 minutes after the mail arrives!

That is crazy.

I wish them the best....just because they're offered at those prices doesn't mean anyone is paying. I hope they do. I could use a new truck and can get my hands on a couple of double digit bass.

Randy...good thought, but JHAP already has the market cornered - it's his side business he tries to keep on the DL. Jeff's Buck Fluffers...[another great band name, too!]

When you look at what "special" livestock sells for, 20K is like pocket change \:o

Some people will cough up the coin to get what they want!

BL should have an advantage in commanding a steep price for some Trophy fish.

I would work that angle if I was in that position.

Then we all get free PB stuff, That would Rock

Only a dream!!! good idea!!!

So, being the fiscally conservative, mild mannered, CPA that I am, I of course had no idea what a fluffer was. So I did what every truth seeking individual does when confronted with one of the mysteries of life to which one must find an answer to. I Googled it of course. Imagine my horror when I read the definition of "fluffer."

So far I have learned two of the most disturbing factoids that patrol the dark parts of my cranium from none other than TJ. He is a wealth of disturbing information. A virtual cornucopia of the bizarre and disturbing.

And no, I'm not going to tell you what the other disturbing factoid is.

Wonderful, I fear my streak of "non moderation" is in jeopardy...thanks for the spotlight, JHAP.

Cool band name tho, right? ;\)

Those prices are goofy. The actual market value round my parts for nonjuvenile live bass is $8 per lb, and that is retail. The slot bass between 1-2 lbs going for $50 to $75? That's laughable at best. You could ask $1,000,000 for a house in a $250,000 neighborhood. Don't mean nothin. Market prices are dictated by supply and demand. Comps.
