I don't think the Carp are actually swimming. So this attempt should be disqualified, pending official judging by qualified judging type officials.

OFFICIAL JUDGE---The ferret is looking at a bottle of green "something" and the carp look dead, but it is an excellent try at "How about a picture of a ferret watching carp swim in a bathtub".

OK, I figured it out.

The "Copy Image URL" option is only available in Google Chrome as your web browser.

It is not available in Firefox or Internet Explorer.

I switched to GC a while back as it loads quite a bit faster. That's why I didn't pick up on it earlier.

That was a good tutorial Omaha, both methods work. But I can bypass photobucket (unless you want to save the image in your photobucket account) I can save to my cpu with a right click, copy, paste.

Or without leaving this reply page, do this:

That option is not available to me JKB. I use Firefox if that matters.

Firefox is great! In fact, I use three different web browsers all listed previously. Previously had Opera (a few years ago) so I should check that out again.

Google Chrome is the only one (that I know of) that has this set of options.

You can set up/install as many web browsers as you want. I have Firefox as the default browser, but use Google Chrome the majority of the time due to it's speed.

Could just be a Michigan thing also as Google offers Free dial up to anyone in MI.

I currently have Sprint MB (because of my location) and sometimes it get's slower than dial up based on atmospheric conditions.

There is a new service in town the boonies that I just got a card on that offers a 3x3 for 49.00/mo, so I am checking into that.

Is Sprint MB an air card? I have verizon and am looking into an alternative to 'Wild Blue' at my pond in the boonies. I just got rid of directv and went with ATT Uverse to get phone, tv, and dsl all on phone line here in H-town. Not convinced about the phone over ip(actually, I am convinced that it sux), not always able to get HD on 2 TVs, etc.....but for about $130 for full bore TV, DSL and phone, not bad.

Anyway, I take only my laptop to Miss. and would like to get a decent aircard....but, verizon is marginal there on phone.

Mine is a 595U USB Modem and have a CradlePoint MBR1000 wireless router. You can get Sprint in an Air card if you like, but I am not making a suggestion.

My laptop is an HP N (something) 844 (something) and something after that, which makes it a workstation. I really don't need an ISP to pull something out of the air while travelling.

I needed it at one particular time, which came in handy. But the ON-Sale price tag of 2600.00 soon became a lesson. Not that it has any issues, and I needed something with XP Pro for my Allen-Bradley software. But another day or two and I could have picked up something for a fraction of the cost that would have fit the bill.

So you could consider that maybe 1800.00 could have gone to the Pond. Or other projects!

I really watch money now, and try to douse the (imaginary) 911 fires. Been there, played the game, and decided that if you have to take a nap! That should take precedence!

Too many people are up-tight and have fears. I try to knock down their fears, whenever, but that takes a long time.

No I dont, and hope to keep it that way. I hate even answering text messages. My laptop is stripped down and light, uses XP for taking aboard ships to connect into various voyage data recorders usually via remote desktop, or sometimes using network for general access, but firewire card to make necessary changes. I would use a USB modem or whatever for internet/email access in the boonies, but also on ships to send/receive mail, docs, obtain service manuals, software, etc. I also use a serial to USB converter to read data streams and update software on various comm. equipment.. Either had to get a cheap XP or go with much nicer and more expensive Toshiba. I had a larger, nicer ACER, but embarrassed to say how I put it on the broken shelf; what with my 40 yrs. of electronic experiences.

OK, so this is tell all hour. I took my laptop to Miss. for a couple days. Forgot my charger. Got tired of going to the library for emails. The Acer had 18 VDC input. I rigged my Ryobi 18 volt battery charger up. Apparently the charger voltage got a little too high. The rest is history.

The reason I asked burger is I used my Windows based cell phone as an "air card". I used a program called PDAnet. Basically I use my normal subscription fee through my cell phone provider to access the internet on my phone. The PDAnet software allows me to convert that info from my phone on to my computer allowing me to also use the internet on my computer. The PDAnet is a one time fee, no subscription and works great. A lot better than paying an extra monthly bill for an air card and the cost of buying an actual air card. But, if you don't have a Windows based phone it won't work.

My Blackberry is, I think, but I don't use that for more than talking.

Should have looked into it a bit further. But, Crystal Clear, even in a 1XRTT signal.

that sounds intersting, CN; read...I am cheap. Do you mind saying what service, or look up the service coverage in SW Miss? then PM me. It sounds like a viable option, even though I prefer low teck phones with which I can communicate well verblly to the person on the other end. Many phones seem to do everything except that.

wondering why a blackberry just to talk. I actully dont know much about blackberries, except they seem to be a buzzword, and I sometimes get short email messages from folks with them. I just assumed they were expensive; at least a few years ago they were.

Usually it is an extra charge for a Tether Option. My Sprint is another 30.00/mo, plus gov charges to tether my Blackberry to the cpu, or my cradlepoint router and snatch internet via that rout. Not worth the extra bucks but if you have a Blackberry you still have to have data which means inet. I have inet on my stupid phone but have to buy a new phone to get it to basic service. Wish they would have told me that when I shelled out the bucks. But, you could also say that I was an ignorant consumer

I answered the stupid decision in my previous post.

Blackberry's are probably fading out. They do a lot of things, but not too many things well. In fact, quite awful. Problem is, ya get a contract and you have to make a decision to break it. Probably wont get another unless it is pre-pay, so you tough it out.
