\:D It's a little sobriety test I put all new clients through when they come for an office visit! Not quite as amusing as doing that to a cat, but still pretty darn funny to watch!

Jeez, why is it that you people always miss the obvious question.

Was the Great Horned Owl stocking your pond?

Was he/she carrying any fish or fish eggs?

How do you know that your pond is not teeming with bullheads now?

About time you chimed in....I was giggling last night thinking about how a city boy like you [or me] would react to one of these silently swooping down next to you in the middle of the night. That's why we always carry an extra pair of briefs in the truck...

Don't be ridiculous I haven't "soiled my armor" (aka chambering a round) in years.

Of course I probably would have run away, wildly waiving my arms and screaming like a 7 year old girl.

But all the while maintaining the highest level of dignity possible given the close encounter with the horrible monster that just attempted to claw my face off.

Oh and excellent photos TJ! I'd frame those pictures and hang them in the house.

That's what I needed - thanks Jeff - I seriously have tears in my eyes...

Come to think of it, we need a a place perserved for publishing humorous observations/stories...maybe a new feature in the magazine, "City Boy Classics" or "Pond Management Moments"...I bet we could collaborate on some doozies that would not only generate a few laughs but also drop the standards so low everyone would feel far less embarrassed of their own pond management "moments". Who else is a city boy? I know Bruce has revealed a few of his classic moments...

What, and always feel a sudden urge to relieve myself when walking down the hallway?

Boy TJ, if I hadn't seen it on tape, I wouldn't have believed it.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Not sure anyone shares my affinity for that - I just find it hilarious. I especially like the way Sasquatch needs to adjust his mask during the chase.

Or worse yet, have every guest that sees the pictures ask "What are those steaks doing out in the snow, anyway?" and have to listen to your wife's explanation all over AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.
