There are good and bad people from every state. No need to lump them all together.

Your comment was not the problem. I knew yours was in jest. There is no reason for anyone to demean an entire state's population.

Have we established how big this water body is with the geese and algae bloom problems? What is the maximum and average depths?

I have a pond gone bad. Same exact scenario, hand fed geese and ducks. They overloaded the entire pond with feces, then algae bloom, then dreaded blue/green algae. Then avian botulism took it's toll on them. After thirty years there is no plant life, no oxygen, three feet of solid muck, which is nothing but poop. No nests for fish, water is putrid. It got so bad last Summer ducks and geese would not go into it. We drew the pond down and the muck came up to my belly button. I could barely slog thru it. A worker not in very good shape, the pump expert got stuck. Had to toss him ropes and pull him out. Now a family of 5 otters finished it off. Not every pond is a success story for me. I love people from New Jersey.

As a kid (in NJ), I remember a very small pond being closed due to botulism caused by fed ducks. They prohibited feeding after that. For those that don't know, botulism toxin is one of the most potent poisons known to man! ...Still think a couple hungry bears might take care of the root of the problem (or maybe a mountain lion).

I think her perfume would chase off the hungry bears! One time i was in the canoe fishing then caught a whif of strong old lady perfume! i looked around & she was at the pond putting out shelled corn. I was 60 yards away!
