My dog's encounter with ice was shortly after this.

Is that the cutest little face you ever saw! Never mind! That is a calculating mind at work, like how can I get out of this, and I hear the FedEx drivers taste just like chicken!

First time little hoodlum played on ice was in her own pool. About 4+ months old, usually did a splash down when I opened the door. Well, It froze, she hit it running, went across, slammed into a wall, looked up at me and without words, said, "Whats up with that"!

I broke the ice out and she just laid down in it.

After that, if ice was on her pool, I was the first to know.

I've had enough dogs to know that look!

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

It is pretty sharp for a look. Serious, as I would estimate. She has reign over 50+ acres, but usually stays within about three.

If you go back another 800 feet or so. She has been venturing into a den of Coyotes out by my back garden, plus trying to get a fix on the resident Bobcat. They all get along, (if they could find each other) but try to find a squirrel or chipmunk in the area???

The upside is she will calm down as she gets older and dogs like this are quite bright. Bright dogs are fun to have around.

Luna is a Black Lab, and they can give you the "look" which you can't resist.

I am glad she is not my daughter, otherwise I would never see my wallet.

She is all crashed out in her bed right now. 3am, I am sure I will enjoy the prancing of 82lb feet getting all geeked up to go outside.

She says, "Who do you think the boss is anyway, surely it isn't you".

Thats the look!!!

Great, aren't they

CJ, that's a cute little bugger, definitely has the LOOK. And they know that you know that they are smart, which makes them smarter than you. Unless it goes another deeper round, which by that time you really lost.

My dog has her head resting on my legs as I type this... I wore her out today doing some quail hunting. She'll actually sleep good tonight.
