I have a funny story to tell. My friend who I will not mention, has a father in law that has alzheimers. At Christmas everyone was at his house. The men were all watching football and the women were in the kitchen. His father in law got up and went toward the kitchen. He then pulled down his pants and then his depends underwear. The women screamed when they saw him and he asked them if they wanted some of this. Three minutes later he didn't remember doing it. If this story offends anyone I apologize. I am not making fun of the disabled just a funny story.

James that episode reminds me of fishing. Try anything , offer them everything but with negative results and then forget about the entire event.

Having grown up with a dad who is a nursing home administrator, I have heard my share of alzheimer's stories and jokes, and have learned that laughing about some of the thimgs that happen in no way diminishes the dignity of life and respect for those who suffer from the disease. That said, I've got to say this is one of the funniest stories I've ever heard! And Eric was right to show the fishing parallel - it was so obvious that most of us must have just missed it! Thanks for sharing!
