Every year or two I break down and clean off my desk. I checked the bottom of one of the stacks to see if it was time. There was stuff from December 2007. While I was at it, I built a new corner shelf that moved the displays back away from me while adding desk space depth (for better or worse stack-wise). So my current Command Center looks like this, but not for long I suppose.

He's teleconferencing with a red-headed mail-lady from Mississippi regarding the temperature strata layers in his pond as reported on the PB forum, all the while checking average lap speeds for NASCAR drivers at the super speeedways (even though 210 sounds more like Indy car open wheelers) and planning his next ice fishing outing with the Stick. What you can't see, out of frame, is Tan choking up a hair ball comprised of yarn from Colin's ski cap and the excess foam insulation used for the geothermal install. Yum.

Oooh. Be still my heart! No more having to toggle between tabs or having multiple screens scrunched while open on the monitor. Very nice. Enjoy!

So how many mice/mousi/mouses/meeses does it take to run that? One mouse and one keyboard; that is all I have mastered. I see you are wired for sound.
That sub looks like my Bose sub, then I checked, very similar.
IMO, if you are going to buy puter speakers, invest in a Bose System. You will NEVER, EVER, EVER, regret it.

You make me feel like a Luddite, sitting here running a Sinclair 1000, displayed on a Zworykin tube, by candlelight.

I don't see a picture. I assume that Dwight did good.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Luddite; Loofah brushes may have been a hint, now that I think of it.

This runs everything on a water cooled over-clocked high speed 256 baud modem link.

That will splain alot

I don't care much for the water cooled ones, I always worry about the steam if they crash.

I don't want to show my desk. It doesn't look like Dwights.

I don't want to show my desk, either. It doesn't even look as good as DD's.

My desk consists of a VW Jetta, a power inverter and a cell phone. I guess you could say that I have an office that corners, not a corner office.

You guys don't know the half of it. Have you ever seen the computer that Dwight uses to power his system? Dwight's computer system rocks...

I don't have the huge budget that Dwight does, so although I do have dual monitors, I had to use cheaper equipment. All kidding aside, for those of you desk jockeys like myself, if you ever move to multiple monitors (I actually do use dual monitors) you will never go back to a single monitor. There have been studies conducted that indicate that switching to dual monitors increases your productivity up to 30%. Adding a third increase production an additional 10%. Adding a fourth monitor causes too much distraction and actually reduces production 67%. DISCLAIMER: Some of the statistics sited above may have been exaggerated or perhaps even fabricated by JHAP. According to recent studies 72.4% of all statistics were calculated using fuzzy math and/or intoxicated statisticians.

I am jealous of Dight's wireless mouse that handles all his monitors. At work I have four monitors, but four mice too. It's no wonder I am only about 67% productive.
Good morning Dave, I've checked the ships systems, and everything appears to be running normally.
