Indiana deer gun season is rapidly approaching (opens Sat). When do you think you will be making the trip to Pa.?

Why esshup? Do you have some PVC that you need to kill?

Anna,

As an aspiring author I like your name Anna Muldoon. Has a kind of ring to it one would find in a novel.

I wonder what happened to Hang Loose's pictures? All I see are photobucket symbols. Is it just me?

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

When Rex was at my place I hid the guns before he saw the PVC near the pond.

Sunil: If Rex does deliver smallies to you, we're supposed to meet so I can pick up crawfish from him. I'll be giving him a package that he's supposed to give to you. DON'T let him get away without getting it from him! (don't believe the excuse "I ate them all" either because he's getting enough from me to tide him over for the trip to your place.)

Esshup, I promised you Sunil will have the same opportunity to taste them as all other entries!

PS

Do you have ANY clue how much I can eat while driving? I'm sure Mason can help too.

I'll bet that I have enough that even you and Mason can't consume it all (and keep it down). \:D

Lots of things are good in moderation, not so much in excess.... A pound or two should be O.K. I take no responsibliity for any more than that! I'm talking about either end, both you AND Mason. \:D

Then again, you were planning on re-doing the interior of the truck this winter, weren't you?

"Esshup, I promised you Sunil will have the same opportunity to taste them as all other entries!"

This sentence is laced with so much hidden meaning.

Seeing as nobody has submitted anything for Best Deer Stick 2009, the same considerations for 'all other entries' leaves me feeling that Rainman and Mason will eat all the deer stick.

BTW, esshup, I greatly appreciate it, and hope to try some of it.

I suppose that even if I get a small piece of it, you'll be the winner!

Damn!

Sunil, if it is as good as the sticks Scott gave me last year, you are in for a real treat!!! I make my own sticks because all the ones I had ever had from processors were too expensive and never tasted that good. This stuff is the best I have ever had!!!

Same place, same stuff. What did you like better, the jalapeno & cheese or the hunter cheese sticks?

I'll throw in some summer sausage as well.

Any rough idea of a schedule? I'll be out of town around Thanksgiving, and sitting in a deer stand 11-30 & 12-1 over in Cecil's neighborhood.

Scott, I am hoping to be there between 11/19 and 11/22.

That'll work. A buddy is coming out and spending a long weekend hunting 'cause we aren't going to Wi. this year. Deer count too low up there. (We hunted in snow all season last year, and only crossed 4 tracks that were <24 hr. old in 9 days.) Thay had another bad winter up there and the deer herd is lower than it was last year.

Scott, I have to deliver 400 pounds of 2+ pound feed trained Bass to Hartley's next Thursday. I will spend the night in St. louis and be through there on Friday around noon, deliver Mason around 4pm and watching Sunil's smallies fly that evening.

I hate nighttime stockings, but what are you going to do?
