Ideas racing through the mind...
I have been reading a number of threads from the past 4 years and maybe I missed it but real quick, with good filters and cleaning what would be a recommendation for pounds of FHM to gallons. I have a 300 gallon stock tank that come spring I would like to place some FHM in to grow out before heading to the pond.

I am showing my ignorance again but here is my thought. In Wisconsin there are tremndous benefits to register as a Fish Farm. Maybe other states have that option but it allows you to not need a fishing license, not need a stocking permit and avoid fishing rules and regulations like limits and season.
So, as a fish farm I would try to get FH as small as possible but the more I thought about it thanks to your question, would it be better to put GS in the forage tank? One tank of each?
I am just throwing out ideas.

I'm unsure what FH eat, but the FH that were put in the pond on Sunday seem to be eating plankton in the pond. They broke up into a couple of schools, and each seem to be moving and grazing. These FH were 1"-2". Some were small enough to squeeze thru a net that had 1/8" mesh (could have been 3/16" tho).

I know nothing about Wisconsin laws but anytime you get any kind of government license, you will probably have reporting requirements that might outweigh the benefits.
Fatheads will eat fish pellets.
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
