TG,
Way to go! What pound test line? Did you eat it or release?

10 lbs test, I think she weighed less than that (this is one of the smaller ones I have), but I only had a #34 Mustad hook on for BG. I took some Pix, hooted & hollared some, then put her back in the pond. It will be interesting to see if the GC learn to be hookshy.

Theo , must have been a long fun fight on 10# test line.
The one I got puy up very little fight [ Deer Rifle # ] Mine at 35'' looked like it was not as big around as your's , unless the picture or the post just makes it look fatter .
Everyone talks about how good they taste.
To many bones for me !

Nice one Theo,
That makes me want to try some meal worms. I've tried about everything else but still no luck. Maybe this will be the week since they are really hogging the feed, I'm going to hobby lobby and get some pom poms too.

Bruce, In Theo's case it was more likely BS.

I told you, Bruce, when people think "Theo Gallus", they think "BS". It was only about a three minute fight, a minute of that trying to decide how/where I was going to hold the net. The hook was stuck in the tongue area about 3" into the mouth; maybe that's a tender spot for GC. No bleeding visible, though.
