I believe the advise to “feed all that can be consumed in 15 minutes” to be misleading.
Our fish are going absolutely crazy at feeding time. They are waiting at the feeders and will pounce on a pellet fly as soon as it hits the water. Optimum conditions near surface water temp of 75 degrees.
I am currently feeding ~8.5lbs of AQMX 500/600/day in ~2 acre pond with 3 feeders, but with current lower water temps will increase feed amount.
Yesterday I observed 5 lbs of AQMX continuous feeding from single feeder - HSB, CNBG and feed trained LMB cleaned it up in less than a couple of minutes. I’d go broke on a 15 minute feed time!!!!

I think of the 15 (or 10) minute rule as an UPPER limit, george.
I could go broke, too, feeding CC all the Aquamax Largemouth they could eat every day.

During most of the growing season we feed from 2 to 6 seconds a day (1 to 4 feedings 1 to 2 seconds each)from each feeder. The food is consumed in a range of a few seconds to 3 mins. It would cost a fortune to feed the fish all they could eat in 15 mins several times a day. We feed more (fish eat better) in spring and early fall than in summer.

The 15 minute could work for me. I feed 4 lbs a day, all in a single toss from one bucket. The pacu attack the pellets with such vigor that they are spread them over a quarter of the 1/4 acre pond. Early on I tried a feeding ring, but it was taken out of play in the first 30 seconds. policing the pellets easily takes 15 minutes.
I would like to know, but don't have the nerve to find out, is exactly how much they could eat in a day.

Rad I am not sure I would want to stick my bare foot in your pond at feeding time. Can you post a pic of the food hitting the water +3 seconds?
