Great morning on our ponds today.
Air temp 62 and water perfect 75.9 degrees.
Full pool with perfect 18-inch visibility.

Caught 6 of these 2-3# tilapia beauties from un-aerated – no supplemental feed ¼ acre pond on Stubby flies.
Three nice 3# class HSB that survived near record 100 degree temp with no aeration or supplemental feeding.

Caught and culled many <8 inch female CNBG from main pond as well as several HSB and one feed trained LMB.

George I missed seeing you at the conference but I was able to still buy some of your beautiful flies. I am hoping to use them this weekend.

James, I really missed seeing all my old freinds and missing meeting new ones, but just too much activity for these old bones.

Let me know how the flies work and your favorite and I'll tie some up for 'ya.
You have a perfect pond and fly fishing will be the icing on the cake.
Really had a blast yeterday.

George, the tilapia is pretty cool man!

Could you do me a favor? Could you get someone- Mrs. Glazener or the boy or someone to video a few clips of you flyfishing in your ponds. I bet you there would be quite a few people interested in that sort of video......it gets tough to catch a fish on film, but I bet you could get er done!

Later Man.

Thanks Nate, maybe grandsons Clint or Garron can take a video if I can catch them at home some time. College and work keeps them busy.
Mrs.G and me don't do videos but maybe could learn.
Really enjoy your videos.

George what camera are you using to take your pictures? Most of the new digital cameras will also take videos.

James, mine is a very good vintage Olympus C-3020 ZOOM with so many bells and whistles that I would have to go to school to learn - I'd rather be fishing.

George the hand full of extra flies (about 20) you gave me at PB II sold very fast. One guy wanted all of them but others objected. The 3 Mrs. G's Dollar gills were snatched quickly. I was sure glad James got there early to get some. -- \:\)

Eric, if I start early this year maybe I could tie some special Mrs.G's Dollar Gills for next year's conference.
Or better yet have an on-line auction or something.

After all it was Theo's idea for a naming contest and your winning name that got all of this started.
I'm going to require Theo to auction off all the flies I tied for him if he doesn't start using them ...

George if you did not create them the rest does not happen.

Beautiful morning on our ponds today watching the sun come up …
http://www.pondboss.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=139175#Post139175

Today’s mission was to cull all female CNBG under 8 inches but might have tossed a couple of males …. only caught about a dozen culls – couple a dozen or so 9 –10 inchers.
Been culling pretty hard so maybe making a dent in them.

You're making me jealous, george. 53 here today (high air temp) and nothing's biting.

This is my favorite time of year here in Texas. Sunny days in the low eighties although last Sunday it was ninety five.

Only 8 inchers and under are culled Jake - these size would have to be fish kill survivors.
9 to 10 inchers are my prized Overton CNBG ....except some of the strangers Todd ID that must have also survived.

Why is your friend wearing that glove?

Do your HSB have teeth?

Figures.....Dentist!

He had never caught a hybrid and even though I told him they didn't have teeth he wore the glove anyway.
