Thanks for all the compliments. My dad has owned the place for about 15 years now and put in a lot of time on it. Next time I'll try to get some pictures of the rest of the place, there are 2 more ponds, 40 acres of CRP, a couple food plots, a skeet range, a sporting clays range, and a grass runway on the place. How he crammed it all onto 120 acres is a mystery to me. He's planning on adding another skeet range, increasing the size of one pond and adding a wetland.

esshup: the dogs in my picture are related too. The top one (dad's dog) is the father of the bottom one (my dog) and the uncle to the little guy on the right (dads new dog), which makes the bottom one and the one on the right cousins. The one on the left (uncles dog) is not related.

And yes they all hunt pheasants like mad. Last year I got into waterfowling too and my dog (year and a half old) ended up having about 200 retrieves for the year when you add up all the doves, pheasants, crows, ducks, canada geese, and snow geese. He retrieves anything I shoot including the occassional muskrat, starling, etc.

For those of you who are white perch haters... I was impressed that this white perch took on this fairly large crankbait.

He was caught in the Potomac River in Washington, DC.

If you want to catch Pellet Pigs, fish with a Stubby Steve's bait.

Nice 9 1/2", 13 1/8Oz Male BG.

New pond record (weight) 17 1/2", 4Lbs 12Oz LMB. If I used Greg Grimes' new Relative Weight table correctly, this Bass has Wr=158%. He is one of 3 or 4 LMB in the pond who truly loves Aquamax Largemouth pellets.

wait just a min I thought your were supposed to have a bass heavy pond. Outstanding! Yes that fish would be 100% if 3 lbs even, way to go. Fish kill not such a bad thing after all. Wait just a min I do not see a tag in that bass.

I used stubby again this weekend for quick outing with wyatt. 8 casts three nice cnbg on stubby, works great on kids attention span.

Nice fish T. How is that pond doing? Seems like some inconsistent results for a LMB heavy pond. Could be a result of the pellets. What is your assessment? That LMB is way over Wr (RW) 100.

Let me get over there with some shiners and I'll cease putting bullheads in your pond for 2.78 years.

Isn't making the bass heavy the best way to do that?

Correct. I save them for the important fish. ;\)

Greg, please give details on hook size/type, presentation, etc. I would like to be able to do as well as Wyatt. Well, as good as I can without being able to have a Fish Pro Dad.

After the BG/RES fish kill under the ice last Winter, I was way short on forage and bass heavier than I wanted to be. I have been feeding all the bass that will eat and have culled over a dozen large ones (15" and over) that apparently never figured out pellets. One of these was really nice last year (caught it three times, it was identifiable by a missing eye), but had lost about 1/3 of it's body weight - while the same length as the fat bass above, it weighed less than half as much when I removed it.

Between the feeding and the excellent growth on BG this year (Aquamax 500/600 plus more natural feed to go around with fewer mouths), the forage shortage has obviated somewhat and while I still have many bass eating the smaller pellets (and holding their weight), there are maybe 3 or 4 that have stayed eating lots of Largemouth pellets. Those few are in really good condition, like the 4lbs 12oz-er.

BG catch rate is about 1/4 or 1/5 of what it was last year, but the ones I get are in very good condition.

Two thoughts Theo:

1. You should have asked how long Sunil would be staying. Rumor has it that Sunil's weekend beer tab is larger that the national budget of the Republic of Paraguay.

2. Don't put a cozy on his beer. Remember Sunil is not a big guy but he is tremendously strong. Cozy his beer and he becomes like a wolverine on crack, sure it's fun to have around but you better watch your back.

Wyatt with one of the bluegill with lure and ss. You can not see the Stubby steve but it is on there. It made the little lure run a little funny but compared to day before catch rate went way up when tipped with it.

Hey, what is Wyatts WR now?

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

One day they look just like that; the next day (yesterday, for me), you drop them off at college.

Wr pretty dang low, tall and skinny. Takes after daddy until I hit 30. Theo that is what they say about them growing up. Hard for me to believe he is three.

You will get to perfrom Wr on Wyatt in person in Missouri. If that does not motivate folks to come to PB not sure what will, \:\)

I managed to remove fifty five pounds of catfish this weekend by removing only fourteen fish. My goal is to remove 200lbs total this summer. I also removed a turtle that weighed over eighteen pounds. Anyone know what kind of a turtle has a leathery shell and kind of point on its nose? He was not a snapping turtle. I am planning on getting some bigger rods. These lightweight rods were not meant for big catfish and turtles. I ended up breaking my favorite rod on a catfish that swam under the boat. I feel bad but I have just been throwing the catfish in the woods. Sorry for not having any pics I left my camera at home.

That turtle was a softshell turtle. Kinda like a pancake vs. what a snapper would look like?

Something like this?

What a great pic of Wyatt. He has subtly melded the Condello method of fish posing with the Queen's delicate teacup etiquette. Class act!
