The other night at work, was very sad... To pull up to this crash and see beautiful tasty freshly baked Krispy Kreme donuts scattered across I-95! Oh the humanity! I just wanted to back my cruiser up and download as many into my trunk as possible!

The Krisky Kreme driver wasn't paying attention and by the time he realized the tractor trailer was stopping ahead it was too late. The driver actually opened the door to his truck and leaped out before the collision. At 65 mph, he was badly injured but survived... As you can see from the pics, had he not jumped(which I normally wouldn't recommend) he wouldn't have lived!

It looks like they used the jaws of life on the door, or am I seeing something else?

Is bear baiting in Va. legal? (4 legged, not 2) If so, you're off to a good start!

No bear baiting allowed... No jaws of life used. The guy jumped, so there was no extraction needed. The sheering was from the collision! The driver was very lucky to survive.

Did I ever tell anyone the story of when a Fuki Plum Wine truck crashed on the Parkway (376) in our town back in '85?

We were in high school and let me tell you...you can get real tired of Fuki Plum showing up at every party for two months straight.

I had a neighbor who grew up in a town with a Rolling Rock brewery (Ohio or PA, maybe?). The brewery caught on fire, and practically the whole town was gathered in front watching or helping the fire department.

My nameless neighbor and his friends were in the back. In no time they made an "assembly line" of sorts with people grabbing and tossing cases down a ladder from the second story storage rooms. Much like Sunil's experience, he said they had Rolling Rock until and even after it all went bad.

While unsafe and not particularly bright, their quick call to action shows the ingenuity of the American way.

I live about 20 miles from the Rolling Rock brewery in Latrobe, PA.

Probably why I can't stand Rolling Rock. It always tastes skunked.

A year or two back, somebody bought the Rolling Rock name and idled the brewery.

Now Iron City is moving there and will brew their steely beer there.

Somehow, I don't see you as the IC Light type, Sunil.

The local town build a brand new police station a couple of years ago here. There is a big boulder out front for decoration. Someone got the bright idea to paint, "The Donut Shop" on the boulder. The cops I heard were really hot and looking for whoever did it. No offense CJ but I found it hilarious.

No I didn't do it but I'd buy a beer for whoever had the cajones to do it while there was a cop on duty.

If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

The cops out there must be different than the ones I work with. We'd all laugh and think it was hilarious and wonder who had the time to waste doing that...

I wish you were the one patroling around my area. The ones we got need a sense of humor,or maybe just a little common sense.

There are tight wound ones everywhere... That's just the luck of the draw. I have been called every name in the book. I like to think I am fair and humble though. Too many cops get the God mentality, and although being a cop gives you a lot of power, I sure as heck aint God!
