http://www.omaha.com/article/20090709/SPORTS/707099797 Watson's 35-inch gar weighed a whopping 6 pounds, 14 ounces. It beat the world record weight recognized by the Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame in Hayward, Wis., by two ounces. Watson's record-setting outing started about 11 p.m. Wednesday when he and three buddies set out for catfishing at a private sand pit west of the Fremont State Lakes Recreation Area in Dodge County. His partners were Blake Helget of Fremont, Dan Smith of Omaha and J.P. Wachter of Fremont. Watson and Smith also each caught four-pound shortnose gars that would have set a Nebraska record. But after Watson hauled in his world-record gar about 2 a.m., the four-pounders went from the boat's live well back into the lake to catch again someday.

Cool, although the person that took the picuture needs to attend a seminar on the use of the patent pending Condello Method of Photography.

I think a mullet would look better on this fisherman.
