Just tried a bag of the stuff. Problem is it jams in my Sweeney feeder - in the funnel above the auger. Any thoughts of a solution? I see Aqua Max Pond 2000 is a bigger than average bait, but without the protein content of Bass Max. Pond is 1 ac with pellet feed largemouth the primary species of focus and importance, with some channel cats mixed in.

BTW, forgot to say - 2 yr in with the largemouth - they are all 14-18 in --- cats are about 2-3 lbs each.

Howdy, Dr. D, and welcome to the forum. For reference for others as uninitiated into the mysteries of Aquamax Pond 2000, it's listed as 5/16" diameter with 32% protein minimum, floating. Aquamax Product List

Dr. D, That's a common problem. It's also why Zach Sweeney built a special feeder he calls "Big Mouth." There's only one other feeder on the market which will throw the stuff. No one knows this, though...Purina Mills makes a 1/2" pellet AquaMax Largemouth which will work in most feeders. They do it special order. I have several customers who use it. I bet they would send a few bags to your dealer. Drop them an email through their website. If you don't get a response, drop me an email at pondboss@texoma.net and I'll forward it on. Another choice is to stick with Aquamax 600. It works well in your feeder.

Thanks all. Do they charge a lot for the 1/2" special order over the regular Largemouth? Got my feeder before the Largemouth was out, so that is why it is not designed for it. Otherwise, the Sweeney feeder is "the bomb". Love the auger feed. When it does get a big ol' Largemouth pellet in there you better not be in front of that thing or you'll look like you lost D-day at the paintball yard. Slings those babies about 20+ yd. After looking at other post, maybe I need to practice "catch and fry" on my CC's!
BTW - great forums here, really a good find on a 103 Sunday PM in the AC!
