I treated my pond last Saturday with a half gallon of generic Cutrine Plus (Algae Defense). So far I see a little bleaching, but nowhere near the results I was expecting on the FA and Chara.
Now I had the sprayer set to fan. Which is a triangular fine spray. I realize now that it is best dispensed in a rain drops not a fine mist.
Anyway I would appreciate some feedback.

Same day and couple of days later, totally done. I did mine with one gallon and a hand sprayer and walked around pond. I had some stuff floating around the pond but it took care of all of it...my pond looks great.

Was the FA on the bottom or was it floating? Personally if i was going after FA on the bottom and Chara I would use the granular Cutrine Plus. If the FA was on the top I would chop it up a little before applying the liquid.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

What's the best mix ratio for a backpack sprayer? What about adding a spreader sticker (surficant)? About to pick up some plus this week and try it on my FA.

Alright 7-8 days after treatment we had some thunderstorms and a 1" of rain. Next day everything was gone, all the floating FA except what is stuck to the pondweed was gone.
Now if I could only get rid of the pondweed...

I normally use 6 ounces of algaecide and one ounce of surfactant per gallon of water in the sprayer. Make sure to clean your sprayer thoroughly after using the algaecide.

Just so I'm clear, Cutrine Plus is safe for use around my water lilies (sprayed directly on)? Will the surficant have any negative effect? This stringy green goo is covering them up. Jeff-
