I know this is probably stupid question but I have been haveing alot of problem with my pond leaking.. Can I line it with some heavey plastic or may a big Blue Poly Tarp?? Would this work for a while If I bury the edges about a foot deep?? Or maybe remove alot of the clay out of the bottom, lay down the liner and cover it back up with the clay that I removed?? Thanks

Bonkers some of the experts will be by shortly but I'm sure they'll ask you for more info about the size of your pond and how deep it is?

This is the stuff people use for liners. http://webbsonline.com/catalog/liner/The method you talked about is correct way to install them. The liner is laid out and then a foot or two of soil is laid on top of it. The edge of the liner is tucked into a trench and backfilled with dirt.

Yea.. I know about that type of pond liner.. We have used it on out koi ponds.. Just trying to avoid getting into 1000's of dollars.. I know where the leak is I think.. I have alot of scrap pond liner, big peices.. Just wonder how that would be with 1-2 foot of dirt over them..

Nothing works better than a liner. Always cover the liner with dirt.
