Just wondering. So far I have identified purple fanwort, water primrose, yellow water lily, irises, soft rush, sedge, buttonbush, and willow. There are a couple more I have not identified yet. Button bush and willow I have been clearing with my brush cutter and spray when out of the water because of years of neglect. The others have not been a problem.

I think if you plant and maintain species you want, you will help keep out invasives and species you don't want...

do you have a picture of the buttonbush? sounds nice. sounds like you have a good mix. most aquatic species can become strong growers. i am not experienced with fanwort or water primrose, but if you dont have the south american primrose, you probly ok. http://www.ars.usda.gov/is/AR/archive/may06/water0506.htm
