If he feeds, I'd try the Stubby Steve's route.

If not-

1] Very small red worms, or pieces thereof.
2] Golden raisins.
3] People who fish intensively for tilapia say that green
peas, slightly mashed, work well, as does corn, but
I've never tried those.
4] Chunks of green sunfish. I doubt this would work, but
it would be a good excuse to get rid of some GSF.
5. Someone mentioned using canned sweet peas.

My cousin lives in south Florida and fishes for wild tilapia a lot. He is a big fan of chumming with corn or peas. He likes garbanzo beans and green peas for bait. Corn also works as well. If you chum an area for a couple days prior to fishing, it tends to lead to better fish. He usually uses a size 6 or 8 bait holder hook...

Thanks guys this is helpful. I will pass ont the info. Yolk Sac I was in Nashville last week at opyrland Hotel where I discussed this with the client. Man that is a huge hotel and great setup for conference. You need to lead Lusk down to that hotel in a few years for Conference there.

Opryland is indeed a great place for a convention.

If you're through here again, with a little extra time, give me a holler, got a great waterinh hole just up the street from me.

Also, smallies are growing great this year, if they spawn like I think they will, I could probably supply you with some very healthy progeny, if you ever have a client that's really burning for them....

Sweet corn is best by far

It does depend on the species

Some species can also take aquatic plants
