Yes I am working with him.
I only had a couple classes with Chris at Iowa State, but he seemed pretty smart and I am sure he is teaching you some good stuff. I guess you probably don't get to drive the shocking boat, but a day shocking fish is better than just about anything. Is Dr. Schramm (from Mississippi State) still involved in the project? Hopefully you will get a chance to meet him. He is a really neat guy. I spent a couple days with him shocking catfish on the Mississippi river. Here is a picture of a couple of hawgs we got on that trip:

Nice fish.
I am not sure if Dr. Schramm is on the project. This weekend was the first time have helped Chris on his project. I think Chris said we have about 300 more fish to catch.

CB, I can see where you might have went astray with the weight of that fish without knowing how tall Young Blood is.
He's like what, 5'5"?

He's a little taller than you are.

You might be right Theo, but because not many folks fit into (pun intended) the category of being shorter than I am, I'm usually right when I feel that someone is shorter than me. I'm 5' 6.5"

I should have known, anything over about 30 pounds requires two hands to hold! Hence the 66 lbs VA State record flathead... Two hands!
