and so far its about half full. The water is muddy from all the rain filling it up and more rain expected this week. Im trying to get the electricity run out to the pier this comming weekend. If I get electricity out there this weekend can I put my aerator system in, is that the right thing to do? Im wondering if the water will stay stirred up with the aeration system and not clear up. Maybe the right thing to do is wait for it to completely fill and clear up then start the aeration, I dont know. Will the aerator help clear up the water? There are no fish yet, water is 4 to 5 feet in the deepest parts and 3 feet in the shallows. Any help is appreciated. I have a 1/3hp compressor and 2 diffusers that I purchased for aeration.

Aeration will not help clear up water cloudy do to suspended dirt that has washed in. I suppose it might actually keep the dirt mixed into the water longer.
The good news is, once the pond has filled much, much less dirt will get washed into the water provided the banks are covered with grass.
Since there are no fish in the pond yet, I think you can complete your work getting the aeration installed on whatever schedule works best. If you don't have cover plants seeded on the banks and any disturbed dirt upstream from the pond, it might be better to do that before hooking up the aeration.

I planted pasture mix all around but only the rye has started to grow. Cover plants? Im going to the plant forum. I plants a few aquatic plants that I got the names out of that plant forum but by no means was it enough to seed the banks. I need to find what I should seed with thanks

I was just worrying about grass/plants for bank cover thus far, not aquatic plants.
