how are the long stone type diffusers supposed to be mounted? from what i gather reading they just dont sit in the mud on the bottom. should i build a small frame and mount it a foot or so off the bottom. does anyone have any ideas for me??

I put mine in a 5 gallon bucket with some rocks in the bottom for weight. The fitting and airhose end is taped (electrical tape IIRC) to the bucket handle, which also has a rope and a float on it to facilitate moving the airstone to different depths for Winter & Summer.
