My cousin Tom Meister and friend Jason Damron went shark fishing with Mark the Shark last week in Miami. Jason caught a 16' hammerhead that is close to a record for the area. Tom only landed an 11 footer!

Here is a link to the news article cbsnews monster hammerhead I will have better pics within a few days.

Oh yeah, the guide Mark tried scamming them pretty good. He was trying to get them to mount the whole shark and finally convinced them to take it to the taxidermist and he would pay half of the cost because it was a potential record. Anyhow Tom and Jason decided not to go through with the taxidermy the next day and decided they just wanted the Jaws. When they called the taxidermist, he said that Mark already made arrangements to pick up the Jaws! Turns out the Jaws are worth quite a bit more money than half of the taxidermy bill!

WOW!! What an awesome fish story your cousin and his friend have for the rest of their lives!

I love saltwater fishing. Deep sea fishing is in a league of its own.

I bet their backs are hurting! Nothing like lugging in a fish that weighs more than you do...
