I used the dealer locater on the Purina site but the ones I called did not carry Aquamax. Does anyone know where to get Aquamax in central Oklahoma? More specificaly Edmond area. Thanks Paul

They should be able (and willing) to order it for you. That's what I have to do to get Aquamax.

Have them order the product code for the Aquamax you want from the Purina Website (use the "product" tab from where you used the dealer locater).

Theo, do you have to place a min order? or just ask them to order it a few sacks at a time?

I've never ordered more than one bag of Aqaumax at a time, but we do buy a few hundred lbs of horse/cattle feed every week. I don't know if they would have minimum if 400-500 lbs of fish feed every Summer was my only business with them.

I found a store here in Edmond that will order it. No minimum order required.
About a week to get it. Circle E Feeds

Leave plenty of time as that 1 week will be about 3 based on my experience. But the effort to get the product is well worth it.

It looks like ewest my actually be a prophet. Ordered Jan 4th and it still is not in. I have been at the feed store two different time when they have called Purina and were told it would be next week. Very Irrritaaating.

Try different Purina dealers. It shouldn't make a difference, but it does....I used the same frustrating vendor for 18 months, never reliably received my order, finally tried another about 10 miles further out. They've been great, I now get my stuff in within a week, even got two bags of AM Largemouth within 2 weeks of ordering, and I know they had to special order that. I drive out of my way to buy other things there now.

Most feed stores get orders in from a central distributor on a weekly or more frequent basis. I know that both stores I've tried order from the same distributor, so all the excuses I got previously were just that. Sounds like your store may just not be interested in really being helpful.

Country feed stores that handle lots of livestock feed are the most reliable at less cost.

Purina spends a lot of money on the RFD-TV show, advertising in Pond Boss, attending conferences and other things. If Mark Griffin reads this he should be kicking butt and taking names of dealers or of his Marketing department. I order any size of AquaMax, (I havent ordered any largemouth so far), and Michels feed store in Vandalia Illinois, a town of 7000, has it the next day.

"I have been at the feed store two different time when they have called Purina " . My experience also. It is not the stores in this case it is the distribution chain. I don't know all the facts of how it works but sometimes getting the stuff from the factory to the store takes time. So order ahead of time and keep checking. Its worth the effort.

That's cause it's made here in Richmond, Indiana. I knew there was one good reason to live in Indiana.

Okay people, when talking about Aquamax the first thing you should mention to new people like me is the smell! There is no doubt that the stuff is made from fresh fishmeal.
I finally get my first bag home, rip it open and reach all the up to my elbow so I can get a big bucket full. Then it hits me as I have head half way into the bag! Smack, did someone just shove perch up my nose? Of course I tricked my wife into taking a big wiff of it.
I am not saying it smelled rotten it was just strong. I know the fish will love it.

First rule is don't stick your nose in it! Although the cats and dogs will absolutely love you if you have been handling it. The smell is why fish absolutely love Aquamax. It is worth a few more dollars per bag if you place any value at all on your fish.

So you won't need to tie a porkchop around your neck anymore. \:\)

When I am handling and molding softened Aquamax my neighbor's dog loves me more than his owner.
