Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I am sure the moderators will let me know! HAHA

As you can see by my low number of posts, I am a newbie to the forum. I just wanted to say from the few posts I have read on here, I SO EXCITED to have found a forum like this one! Seems like a lot of very knowledgeable people on here and I look forward to learning and sharing ideas.

Although I don't yet own a pond, I do have plans to in the future. But for now I will live through the other pond owners on this forum!

I have a minor in wildlife and fisheries science from Penn State, so I do know a little more about fisheries management and ichthyology than the average person. Anyways, I just wanted to say hello to all and thank everyone for giving me a bunch of interesting things to read.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard!

There's a heck of a lot of vicarious living happening up in here.

A plus (1) for Penn State too.

Sunil nearly went to Penn State, with a minor word reversal.

Yeah JHAP couldn't be an Uncle. I figure his Parents took one look at him and decided that having children wasn't such a hot idea.

I can just hear it now. "Hey, it wasn't my idea.".

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

BTW CJBS2003, welcome to the Forum. With those 3rd and 4th initials, you will fit in real well around here.

Oh yeah, don't believe anything that Brettski or Tom G says.

Guilty conscience?

See what I mean?

Also watch for Theo, Sunil as well as JHAP. Send Theo and Sunil Jerky and tell JHAP you love GSF and hate Brussel sprouts. You will do fine.

Mind you, I'm not a Penn State man, though I have lost some brain cells there.

As they say, Penn State is a drinking college with a football problem! HAHA

It is good to be aboard! I wish I would have found this forum long ago... I spent half the night last night catching up on all the old posts. Some great stuff! I work the night shift so you will see me posting late at night often...

I am no fish genius but I do know a bit. I will do the best I can to help whenever I think I can. I still need to learn all they fancy abbreviations! I find myself referring back to the post that has them all.

And Sunil, my family owns 50 acres of hunting land in Bedford County, PA. Not too far from you...
