After watching TV last night, my wife and I decided that our next dog is going to be a Chupucabra.

This was cemented in when my four-year old daughter said "I want to be the first kid on my block with a Chupucabra."

Do any of you Texans know of a breeder for this very interesting dog?

I think Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer down in Georgia will sell you one.

We really like the idea of no shedding as they have no hair.

I'm sure Ken Holyoke has the biggest specimens. \:\/

I'm assuming your wife correctly blames this on you.

This kind of statement always seems to be my fault here at Casa Gallus.

If you want to ensure that you have a viable Chupucabra then I suggest that you purchase an intergrade Chupucabra. My reasoning for this is simple, the intergrade populations demonstrated a mean heterozygosity consistent with these values (0.051). It remains to be determined if the higher heterozygosity in the intergrade zone, relative to the pure subspecies, is a consequence of heterosis. However, that maximal heterogeneity is located in intergrade populations may help to explain, in part, the existence of a "big Chupucabra belt" in northern Florida and southern Alabama and Georgia, as well as the Chupucabra of "trophy" size being taken from certain sheep and goat ranches in Texas and California.

And that's all I have to say about Chupucabras.

If you have any other pets, this choice is not a good one. I'm pretty sure a chupucabra will eat any pets you may have currently. But I think it'd be worth it to get rid of all other pets to be the proud owner of such a cute little puppy.

Well, the wife got a little freaked out from some of the pictures you guys posted, so I'm going to resort to a back-up plan of calling my two-year old son, "Chupucabra" for the near future.

I don't get it. How couldn't you fall in love with a cute face like that? Personally, I bet your wife's just jealous.

Yeah, it really doesn't make any sense. She married me.

My brother and his wife just had a kid's book called "The Fairy and the Chupucabra" published. It is kind of neat. The chupucabra is a mythical animal in hispanic folklore. We have had sitings of them in South Texas for years.

In Dog Beers, I've had one.

A more believable story would have been "The JHAP and the Chupucabra."

I remember that TV show from back in the '80's.
