Bob Lusk's latest blog entry informed us that PB office manager Kathy Lovell, for 5 years the backbone of Pond Boss World Headquarters in Sadler, Texas, will be moving on to a new job. Anyone who has had the pleasure to deal with or meet Kathy knows that she is a super lady who has been indispensible in getting out PBMag each month, sending out replacement copies to readers with mail persons fond of ponds and fishing, and ensuring that the first two PB Conferences in Arlington were successful, to list just a few. (I remember pointing out a potential problem at PBCON1 to Lusk; he said "I'll put Kathy on it," and that problem was no more.) I suspect her duties may have also included assisting Bob with plane and car reservations on his many road trips and wiring bail money when he is travelling with Otto.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Kathy for everything she has done for Pond Boss over the years and wish her all the best as she moves forward. She is a special lady who has helped make the world of Pond Boss the extraordinary place we know it to be.

Thank you, Kathy, and best of luck on the pipeline.

For all you did and all you are - thank you - a friend - best wishes and keep in touch.

From all of us you helped so much :

Irish Blessings

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

We are going to miss you Kathy Lovell!

Kathy went way, way beyond the call of duty in shipping our Pond Boss goodies from Texas to California for us. We had purchased George's fly display cases and she carefully packed them and shipped them to us. They arrived with not so much as a scratch. We had also won, in a conference drawing, one of those coolers that look like a fishing bobber which she shipped to us as well.

In addition, for those that don't know, Kathy is quite funny. Kathy and I corresponded a few times by email and she has a great sense of humor.

I wish you the best of luck in your new endeavors Kathy. You will always be part of the Pond Boss family (whether or not you admit it is up to you).

Please stop in now and again and let us know how you're doing.

Oh and DIED, Vaya Con Dios means Go with God.

That pipeline better be done right the first time or else.

The best to you Kathy.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
