If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.

There is a really large chain of food stores in Texas called HEB. It stands for Howard E Butts. He had a daughter named Rosemary. Guess what they call her?

In Dog Beers, I've had one.

Dave,

Near the bottom of the third photo I believe I see a discarded skin. Is that correct or am losing control?

Don't give her too much credit. \:\(

It is hard to get a few syllables past that Moderator!. Theo struck me down and removed any chance of my post making any sense to anyone else.

So Dave, we can just bask in the glow that we know something that no one else knows! Little though it may be.

I feel like a frog sitting on a rock in the sun by the water next to your gold fish pond. \:\)

Goldfish, we don't need no stinking goldfish. DIED how about some sort of fingerling grow out pond. Or Pumpkinseeds, I wonder if you could get Pumkinseeds from anyone.

Bruce and I may produce some pumpkinseeds next year. If you got them from me they'd have to be health tested and overnighted. Could be done with fry.

It's not just the rules, Dwight, I think it's also a good idea.

FWIW I agree with you.

The first photo looks like a ladie's bum while she' wearing a brown thong-type of underwear.

Cecil & Bruce, please let me know if you decide to do this. Pumpinseeds are in California waters and I haven't found any restrictions on them. I also haven't found anyone that sells them here. The are in some lakes but appear to be more scarce than other sunfish.

DIED, ya gotta have a Pumpkinseed grow out pond!!!!

I'm serious Cecil and Bruce, really, this is JHAP being serious, I would be really interested in getting some Pumpkinseed.

Jeff,

I'm sure Bruce and I will keep you posted. I see no problem with overnighting fry when the time comes. Like I said though the only thing is with me we'd have to test them for VHS and with him you wouldn't have to.

I'm seining my bluegill production pond today and will completely drain it down after I get all the fish out of it I need. It will be dried and refilled and ready for pumpkinseed broodstock next spring.

Thanks Cecil.

Just to satisfy my curiosity Cecil, why are you switching from BG to PS?

To keep up with Bruce. \:D

No, Just kidding!

I have plenty of bluegill from my production pond this year and it was so easy I thought it would be fun to try pumpkinseeds. They are a beautiful fish too. On of the most gorgeous sunfish species in my opinion.

Coincidentally Bruce is interested in producing pumpkinseeds too but he's having problems finding broodstock. I should be able to find some. If not around here I know I can get some in New England while on vacation as they are very very common out there. If I get my hands on some I'll be happy to ship Bruce some fry after reproduction and VHS testing.

Picking up 100 yearling male brook trout in Michigan tomorrow. It's going to be a driving Ms, Daisy day as my mom wants to tag along to get out of the house. That or my dad wants to have some time alone. \:D

I'll post some pics if anyone is interested.
