I told the Hilton-Arlington phone person that Sunil recommended them highly. Sunil seems well known there; the "Corona guy".

It turns out that there are 2 cases (48 bottles) of Corona Extra in the cooler that Sunil left there for unknown (probably nefarious) purposes.

Do you think I could impersonate Sunil and claim those 48 beauties? \:\/

Who are you kidding? Sunil would never leave even a couple of FULL bottles behind. You are being snookered.

This is as good a place as any to lament about some very bad news that I received a week ago.

My favorite, every-day drinking beer, called Henninger (green bottles from Germany) is being discontinued in 12oz. bottles.

They are now only going to have it in 16oz. cans.

I checked my phone answering machines, the mailbox, my email, and I cannot find any place where I was consulted with on this matter.

I'm hurting real bad over here.

Wonder if Sunil believes Coronas can grow and reproduce?

I don't understand. Are you depressed about not being able to drink from glass bottles, or trying to disguise that fact that now every Henninger's you drink will mean an extra 4 ounces of beer?

Or is it just that you drink 98% of the Henninger's imported into the U.S., and (justifiably) feel left out of the decision?

Hard to believe. However, in hard times, business decisions are often made without proper market research.

My pirate friend "O'han La John" is going to be very disapointed
about that Henninger container change. That is his favorite beer to drink and swing from yard arm on.

Good morning Dave, I've checked the ships systems, and everything appears to be running normally.

So you drink beer every day, then?

Cans are for pork and beans, glass is for beer. You can still get some at Beer Geek \:\)

Dwight, you are my savior!

Unfortunately, they don't ship to PA, but there's ways around that.

Sorry though, I didn't mean to highjack. You know, I never highjack threads.

My guess is that if you ramdomly called 100 major hotels west of the Rockies you would find that in several of these hotels, somewhere in a small isolated corner of the refridgerator is a case of Corona with Sunil's name written on the box.

Jeff,

Obviously, had he done that same thing with his day beer (Henninger) he wouldn't be in the pickle that he is right now.

Sunil, Just save your bottles and when you buy beer in a can, pour it in the bottle. That should make you feel better. Wasn't pizza a food group at one time?

Sunil,
Obviously none of us on the forum would ever do anything like this, but if someone lived in one of these states that can't accept shipped alcohol (i.e. PA, IN), what would a person theoretically do to work around the problem?

If you want to see us on TV we are in Section PU116 row 38.

That is opening day of deer season. No TV out in the brush.

bbjr, I would reach out to someone on the forum who lives in an adjacent state, and I would solicit their help in receiving the contraban. Then I would go that person's pond, with a bucket of live bait, and fish their pond (with permission of course), then I would collect my package and depart.

Of course, I would bring a case of Milwaukee's Best Light as a gift to the complicit party.
