one of my catfish ponds im working is .6 of an acre and has lily pads all the way around the bank. They used to just be in one are but have spread. They won't venture to the middle though unless they can handle 15ft depths. anyways, im a rookie at pond vegetations but learning. Are lily pads something I want or not. Seems like when they die off the leave a lot of pond matter on the bottom... Should I try to kill off half of them maybe. What do I use if so.

Depending on what lily they are, pulling them out is like a broadcast seeding. Roundup with a sticking agent works pretty well.
