Theo, I always liked Buck's "Act Naturally". A lot of these young guys (under 70) probably thought Ringo wrote that one.

RM - I knew it was Buck, and not Ringo. Oh, wait, I'm not a young guy. Well, I am under 70.

I am just happy to know that being under 70, I am a young guy. Though I did see the Beatles in 19 and 64.

Dwight ... and I get to see Neil Young in MSP-STP next week! May not match the Beatles, but it will be a first for me!

Neil Young will play notes you've never heard before.
Even if you've been to several of his concerts.

Well I hope Neil Young will remember, a southern man don't need him around anyhow.

Neil Young will play some notes you've never heard before, and many of them will be wrong, but so what?
Hopefully he's touring with Crazy Horse?
I will say, however, that Keep On Rockin' In the Free World makes we want to start hurling immediately.

I'm partial to "Powderfinger" and "Cortez the Killer".

Brettski - the original Guess Who members stopped here last summer on their way back to Canada. It was great -- they played the Guess Who songs, as well as the songs from "that other band." I guess they couldn't mention BTO for legal reasons.
Sunil -- sounds like this Neil Young tour is a mostly electric one, even though it's not crazy horse. His last, smaller tour was more acoustic. I've got my fingers crossed -- he's been known to change his mind in the middle of things.

I saw Neil w/ Crazy Horse back in like '89-'90 in the arena at Hershey Park in PA. Good show for sure, at least I think it was.

Neil's voice will cover up any of the missed guitar licks. I admit to listening to After the Gold Rush too many times while on the USS Albany...before Skynyrd did'nt need him around anyhow.
BTW...why is Lynyrd Skynyrd not in the Hall of Fame???

Burger -- Amen! Sunil -- I'm going to open a Sam Adams Black Lager in honor of you actually seeing crazy horse! You ARE the man. By the way, is this a hijacked thread yet??

Neil Young will play notes you've never heard before.
Even if you've been to several of his concerts. Isn't it amazing Neil's voice actually sucks (he'd probably never make it on America Idol) but he's one hell of a song writer and an icon in my opinion?

Yeah, I know some cats who just hate his voice. I think he's done some very beautiful pieces of work. Really, he gives hope to all of us out there who's voices are not super-popular (or good at all!).
Dylan is like that too, on the voice end; some just can't stand him, but really, he's done some great vocal work.
Doc, state a time when you're cracking that Black Lager, and let's syncronize.

Oops. Sunil, one is down already. I am willing to have a second, just in your honor. So, let's give you enough time to catch this. I suggest 7 p.m. central, or 8 p.m. eastern, I believe.

Doc says 8 eastern, Sunil.
Musical icons, or that made at least 1 big hit who's voice is somewhat less that prefect...your choices. I will start with

I just opened a Henninger and toasted. First I was toasting to the West by North West; then I had to toast to the South by South West, then....well. I'm having a second beer now too!

burger, Hendrix fits in to that category.
Did Johnny Winter have any true hits? Dude can play, but the voice can get rough.
Where would you put Millie Vanillie?

Where would you put Millie Vanillie? In the recycle bin next to the copy machine.
