I am sorry if this is a dumb question but was thinking about setting up a 55 or 75 gallon aquarium to raise either forage or some fingerlings to release in the pond. I don't have the setup for a forage pond right now. Thanks for any input!

Mike, I have no doubt that it is possible. I added 4 dozen 3" shiners to my 150 gallon aquarium in an attempt to spawn some for my pond next spring. The aquarium contains 13 copper-nose bluegill (2.5-5") and 10 rosey red fatheads (2.5-4"). After the first week, 1 shiner has survived---but it's doing real well. I think $12 wound up being a bit pricey for ONE shiner!

GSH spawn in/around vegetation in shallow water - I used to see mine (before they were eliminated) congregating in <6" of water where grass overhung the edge. So I think you would have to create that kind of environment in the tank for them.
