cull large older males but do not cull large older females if BG production for forage is the goal. right, Dave. I will edit my incomplete post.

I did not see you list any info on your CC population or size. If you cull BG i think i would throw them all in the freezer for your catfish at a later date.

There are only about 5-8 cc in the pond. They range in size from a couple of lucky 1.5 lbs to the most recent catch a 7.8 lb. They don't spawn very well if at all in my pond and because of that I have pretty much given up on them. I never realy targeted them as sport fish anyway.
But your suggestion of cutting up BG for the CC is pretty good. I used to do that with the LMB I harvested. I'm not sure if the turtles or the CC enjoyed it more.
