some folks may not realize it but many types of animals were alot bigger in the geologic past. megaladon sharks, giant sloths, giant beavers, huge cave bears, mammoths, and yeah, even BG.

this is a fossil BG spawning ground uncovered near my place where a large inland lake used to be. in the lower left, you can see the ripple marks (caused by wave action) surrounding this incredible example of a single spawning bed approximately 20' wide.

i'm thinking of publishing the story.

DIED I think you snuck in and moved Jeff's big "leaver" rock and left him a hole. Geologists are always digging in the rocks.

I'm not entirely sure what that is. It appears to resemble the droppings of the male bovine. Texas has lots of that.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Naturally, a geologist pond boss would mistake that for an ancient pond bed. It's obviously a very, very small killer asteroid strike.

D.I.E.D., that reminds me of the time my cousin Stumpy Jack showed me the "dinosaur footprint" he "found." It was in a piece of granite, and the chips from the cold chisel job were still on the ground all around the rock.

Do you have shins?

the drought has uncovered this years spawning beds obviously created by the rather large and aggressive GSF i have grown....they must be descendants of the megaladon sun fish.

I think those are Bigfoot Bagels. Sasquatch bakers make them with lots of minerals, and the customers love to dunk them.

You obviously interrupted breakfast.

P.S. You never did say whether or not you have shins.

They are neat pic's. It's a shame they're not under water anymore.

Jeez this draught is getting crazy. I think we are going to see the lowest pond levels ever. Me thinks we are going to be reduced to Puddle Bosses before the rains come.

Oh and Dave I want my big rock back.
