Deb,
Do you have any fish coming toward north GA especially up I-575 in the near future? I have a client wanting to add a few GG to his existing pond. If coming this way he watns 100 I would prefer them to be 4-6 inches if possible. Send me an email if you like on price/avail thanks

Do not get this wrong I still get mad when I hear some sotcking rec. from Ken's but more open minded. However I do think the GG is diff than normal HBG so I thought if he really wants them to give them a try. LIke I said before I had a GG for a few years in my personal pond.
Deb?

Actually I do look at the active topics. I have not responded in two part. First of all I am not in the office today. Second, and most important, this forum is not designed for a sales pitch. If Greg is sincere than he can call or email me directly. I do not know Greg, and I certainly do not mean this in a negative way (hopefully not coming across paranoid), but I get the impression (given his past posts in reference to me and my employer) that he only posted here for everyone to see (a hidden agenda?). Hopefully that is not the case. Either way Greg can contact me directly if he wishes to place an order. I will be back in the office at 8:30 AM Wed. I should have another truck up there in December (have one running through Dalton, Blue Ridge, Dillard, and into SC right now)!

Deb,
I guess you do not know me. I have no hidden agenda about anything. You never have to worry about the way I feel, I say it. I will call wed. to get a price on GG.

I nor anyone else "knows" what Greg's intentions by posting this thread are.....Having said that, there is no other way to read your post than as negative. Wouldnt it have been easier just to reply, "Greg, call or email me and we can discuss your order"?

NO ONE involved is without "blame" in this little on going rift. It would be nice to see EVERYONE check their egos at the door and get on with the topics at hand.

You are correct that it would have been easier to reply that way, just as it would have been easier for Greg to have presented to me this way in the beginning. Why go through the forum?
I believe if this thread had not been created, we would have kept with the topics at hand instead of providing a frontal view to everyone of whatever intentions (pure or hidden) are there. That was my point, and take it as you will I was really not being negative at all, just cautious!

By the way, every living person has an ego (the division of the psyche that is conscious, immediately controls thought and behavior, and is in touch with external reality {mediator between the Id and the Superego}). It is the inflated ego of some that need to be "checked at the door".
I will admit to not having near enough experience in this field yet to inflate anything, much less my ego.

Deb

Thanks for the lesson on egos...I was unaware of what they are or that everyone has one. ;\)

I'm amazed at times. I thought some would get a kick out of the fact I'm ordering GG. My intention I guess was to make fun of myself. It makes me like silly doesn't it I say how bad they are then order some? I also wanted it to serve as a point it is not the fish I have a problem with it is the stocking advice, etc.

I'm going to stop even posting here soon if this continues. I'm stragiht forward and that is all I can say. Deb I will try one more time to make peace by calling you about the fish. After that if slams continue I will concentrate efforts on helping with PB meeting. I enjoy what I thought was helping others but not if it leads to this.

I got the joke, Greg. ;\)

Do you know anyone who has all male redears? I'd be interested in getting some this winter. How successful are you at being able to differentiate between male and female?

Greg, I thought you ordering them was pretty darn funny myself. I also thought/hoped that maybe by doing it in a visible way that you might be demonstrating your desire to further "bury the hatchet" publicly....well, that and trying to give us all a good chuckle! \:\)

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this time next year, when a few more of the folks on this forum will have tried GG and will have some experience and data to report after a growing season.

Ross,

I hope to report something sooner than one year from now. Granted, in my case, I'm looking at a three year test, but I also expect to see results, of one form or another, begin to show up by late next spring or early summer.

Deb,
You have responded favorably to two other forum members publicly, here, on this forum who wanted to stock GG's. I think that in itself explains your comments to Greg.

Greg,
There are 3, from my observations, here that would love to see you off this forum. ML, bugermiester, & Deb. That has been ML's pursuit for some time & bm has joined him. Now Deb has joined their circle.

Never before had their been these kind of posts on this forum. Even after pointing it out to them all they can do hate & attack.

I too grow tired of their snipeing, & to quote bm "holier than thou" attitudes.

To my knowledge there are only 3 doing this though I'm sure they are trying to recuit more & you are not the only professional here in their sights.

Please, don't let those 3 run you off!

There are so many more that apreciate you & all the many hours you have spent helping others on here!

The "trick" to using this forum is to not take anything personal. Say what you know to be factual. Facts remain the facts irregardless of what someone thinks or wishes to be true. Everyone's contribution is worthwhile.

Back on the topic now.

Greg,

If you do get some GG for your client please do keep us informed as to the results. The thing I see is that there are alot of people that would like to see how GG do. But many do not want to renovate or eliminate their existing fish population to go with Kens stocking rate. I personally would like to see how they would do added to an existing managed pond. At worst I guess you could figure on at least average native bluegill growth rate down the road. If all said is true you still wouldn't end up with a GS as an F5+. What could it hurt to try? The bonus would be a handful of giant bluegill. I would still like to see the results of the tried and true stocking where bluegill are replaced with the GG.

Stick around Greg we all appreciate you here!

Robinson I did forget about it, sorry. They should have them for you. I'm really calling Deb right now. I;m hoping it will just be business. I really do want this client with his goals to try them out. Not sure what good/bad I can report b/c it is not what Ken's suggest. He just wants an agressive fish for the kids to catch and with bluegill established dont think 100 GG will be an issue. I will tell you how they grow if I hear back from him, if Deb sells them to me, ;\)

Hopefully they will be in his pond by latest dec. I will let you know what I know about them.

Ric, I spoke with Deb much better to speak in person. ML and I have posted comments/questions latley with no controversy. It just leaves one other and over the last day it seems he has not brought me up. Maybe Big-Ponds post did some good.
